Not your regular officer's PP. This circa 1918 Officer's watch has an inversed, brass etched Breguet Numeral enameled dial with leaf hands. The condition is pretty good for its age and dial has patinated. Why is it special besides this? Dial is not enameled white and there is no sub seconds. Simplicity makes it perfect in every way.

A combination of finding a bracelet that is still in good condition, with a unpolished case, original pushers, original crown, period correct crystal, a dial that has no lume missing, perfectly aged lume, no scuffs, no defects and then a perfectly matching pair of hands with no paint loss, no lume chipped and again a perfectly coloured lume is nearly impossible. Then the last important thing is the bezel, finding one with no chips, scratches, weird fades or dings is a feat in itself.

The combination of all these elements being perfect is as buying a 20 million $ winning lottery ticket.

Hence the importance of this 105.012 CB case from 1966. An unpolished case and caseback are in themselves a rarity and am happy to offer these on my ebay account. It is not cheap but can possibly elevate your watch to a solid new level.

Why is it so hard to collect vintage Omega Speedmaster watches? Because condition is NEVER good. Some watches are odd, especially in Canada where Tudor had a strong relationship with the military, much stronger than that of the MN that is highly publicised. Here data was kept private or is simply missing about who got what as there are no ledgers about military watches. Not saying this one is but they often are without having the relatable history.

Tudors are more common in Canada than anywhere else per capita and we find weird things here that are not available anywhere else. This 7928 has a highly even tropical 7924 dial with Zinc Sulfide lume, Ranger hands that match perfectly the dial. The bracelet, a 7206 with 79 End Links is as rare as it gets with these EL's. The case, caseback, bracelet and long 5 insert match the date period of everything else.

Did it come like this from Factory? Was it someone having fun that put it together? We will never know but it is fun to wear.
